Our Community Involvement

An Essential Component of Our Business

Community service is an integral part of our business, and we know how important it is to devote community time outside of the funeral home. We believe that to be a productive member of the Waukesha community, we need to give back to our families, businesses, and service organizations. The following lists demonstrate our company and employee involvement in our community.

As a small business, we believe that membership in local organizations is of tremendous benefit to the community. Our staff is active in civic and service clubs and other organizations that touch our community such as:

  • Chamber of Commerce & Waukesha County Business Alliance
  • Veterans of Foreign Wars
  • Interfaith Caregiving Network
  • Kiwanis Club
  • Optimist Club
  • Serra Club
  • Rotary Club
  • Healing Hearts of Waukesha County
  • Resolve Through Sharing
  • Compassionate Friends
  • Elks Lodge
  • Rolland D. Nelson Crossroads Hospice

Many groups and organizations approach us for financial support, and although we cannot find the funds to donate to all, we believe we must help the community prosper and grow by supporting these local organizations:

  • E&R Church Building Fund
  • North High School Marching Band
  • Local Schools & Churches
  • Waukesha Civic Theatre
  • RSVP Retired Senior Volunteer Program
  • Masonic Building Fund
  • Boy Scouts
  • Girl Scouts
  • Mental Health Association
  • St. Vincent de Paul Society
  • Stillwaters Center
  • Waukesha Softball Teams
  • Police & Fire Department Activities & Fundraisers
  • Waukesha Symphony League
  • Wisconsin Masonic Charities
  • AngelsGrace Hospice
  • Camp Hope
  • Carroll College Foundation
  • Milwaukee Goodwill Industries
  • Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
  • La Casa de Esperanza
  • Partners in Education
  • Badgerland Ski Team

Along with financial support, our staff donates time by volunteering for the following committees, service organizations and community groups:

  • Interfaith Board of Directors/Advisory Board
  • Bereavement Ministry Consulting
  • RSVP Annual Fish Fry
  • Church & School Tours
  • Waukesha High School Health Class Presentations
  • Education Speakers at Churches and Local Colleges
  • Community Seminars on Preplanning, Grief and Loss, Children and Death
  • Church Fundraiser Volunteering and Sponsoring
