Louis N “Lou” Bath
Of Waukesha,
died on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Waukesha Springs at the age of 88 years.
Lou was born in Kewaskum on January 17, 1921 the son of Louis and Lorene Bath.
He married the love of his life, the late Helen Meyers on April 23, 1960. Lou
was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church Waukesha where he was a
coordinator for the Lectors & Eucharistic Ministers. He proudly served his
country in the South Pacific with the United States Army during World War II and
he held the title of Post Commander for the American Legion in 1987. In
earlier years he studied to be a Maryknoll Missionary and had been a Spiritual
Director for the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Lou will be
dearly missed by his brother, Gerald (Kathleen) Mehlos of Menomonee Falls;
sister-in-law Dorothy (James) O’Neill; and cousin, Helen Felix of Kewaskum. Lou
is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He
was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
The
visitation for Lou will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until
4:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland
Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The memorial mass for Lou will be held on Tuesday at
4:30 p.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI
53188 with the Reverend Jason Lavann officiating. We will be going in
procession to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the
St. Vincent DePaul Society, 305 East Main Street, Waukesha, WI 53186.
